The entire team at SOL in Granada has been fantastic, and the students have been aware that we were always in good hands. Rocio Monteoliva, our onsite director, has gone the extra mile to give them plenty of options of things to do, and the entire group fell completely in love with her." View Less

"I have led Social Work programs all over the world for the past 10 years, and SOL Education Abroad in Costa Rica is the most professional and meaningful that I have experienced. From the first contact with SOL Education, we were “sold!” The staff members were very responsive and provided an alternative Spring Break trip in Heredia, Costa Rica that was tailored to our specific requests! The students obtained an educational experience related to the violence against women that could not have been replicated in the classroom. Further, the service learning component of the trip allowed students to engage in positive social change efforts that allowed them to collaborate with the individuals experiencing the social injustice. The opportunities were unique and rare and only possible due to the relationships SOL Education has with the members of its community. In addition to the professional growth that occurred during the educational and service learning components of the trip, the students grew personally through their interactions with the locals. Living with host families within a community was the most rewarding experience! The personal attention, love, and respect provided to us had a profound effect on all involved and forged, what will become, lifelong friendships! " View Less

I collected them from Chicago/O'Hare airport on Saturday, and they had nothing but glowing praise for the experience!! They really loved their host families, and I understand some were in tears at departure; many of them remarked on the great professors they had, how much they enjoyed class, as well as how much they enjoyed taking part in all of the great cultural activities set-up for the participants. We are so pleased and grateful for the wonderful experiences Sol Education Abroad was able to provide our students." "I was highly impressed with the organization of the Sol Education Abroad program as well as how much of a “family” the smaller environment had created. The students that we were able to meet clearly loved the program as well. This environment helped me to see how much of a great fit this would be for our students here at Cardinal Stritch. Not only does the program offer a competitive price (our students are predominantly lower income), but it offers an array of experiences that could be life changing." View Less
