"To say that I was impressed with Sol Education would be quite an understatement. I feel that my own one-week visit was almost as life-changing as the experience that I would hope my students to have. I was impressed with the many different educational opportunities that are available to students so that students at any level of Spanish can have their academic needs met. The cultural activities that I participated in were well thought out and smoothly run. The Sol Education program in Buenos Aires appears to run like a well-oiled machine. The students that I met appeared extremely engaged in the culture and happy about the program. Sol Education would be a fabulous fit for Lynchburg College students. I am certain that our small college students would feel at home in the close community of the Sol Education program even in the immense city that is Buenos Aires. I will be recommending a Sol Education program to all of my students interested in studying abroad!" View Less

"The community and volunteer activities cover a wide range, and so all students could find something that fits with their own interests and future plans. Students were all very happy with their host families, and spoke affectionately of their "mama tica". Sol Education Abroad has an extensive network of host families - about 100 of them, I was impressed with that. At the end of the program, not only the student, but also the host family fill out a program evaluation, so that any issues can be addressed. The well-managed homestay is clearly a very strong asset of the SOL program. I think the Sol Education Abroad program is a fantastic fit for many of our International Studies majors, and those focused on sustainability or social sciences in general. " View Less

"It is without doubt, that the students are speaking Spanish even when no teachers or directors are around. I overheard so many conversations on the bus, or just walking around on city tours, and they were speaking only Spanish to each other! This proves that the fabulous work of the directors, University staff and the host families contribute to full Spanish language immersion! I cannot speak highly enough about the host family selection! They exceeded my expectations and it all brought joy to my heart. As a study abroad advisor it is crucial to know that our students will be loved and well taken care of regardless of what family they will be placed in. " View Less
