Adriana Di Napoli Adriana was born in the "Paris of South America", the beautiful Argentine capital of Buenos Aires. Growing up in this very European metropolis allowed her to appreciate the incessant and intense cultural energy the city has to offer. She attended the University of Buenos Aires and unlike many Argentines, Adriana learned English from an early age and is fond of English Literature. As is common in Argentina, her large family are descendants of Italian immigrants and still maintain many customs, cultural values, and even the language. After completing her university degree, she taught psychology, anthropolgy, and theater performance. Her husband, Pablo, is a specialist in Argentine & Latin American Literature. They worked as visiting professors for 3 years at Wesleyan University in Connecticut where their daughter, María, was born. Adriana taught Spanish at the Independent Day School in Middlefield and theater performance at Oddfellows Theater. She has also taught English in Buenos Aires. One of her great virtues as our director is that she is completely bilingual! It is hard to find a director as fluent in Spanish and English as Adriana. She also knows Buenos Aires like the back of her hand! She loves to read, practice yoga, and stroll the beautiful Buenos Aires neighborhoods. In her spare time, she works for several volunteer organizations, one of which is a non-profit that assists street children in completing their education and finding work. You are going to enjoy having Adriana as your director! |
