"My son's host family has truly taken the meaning of “family” to heart. Aside from feeding him and giving him a safe place to live; they visited him in the hospital and kept in contact with us via Facebook during all hours of the day and night. Jose LOVES them and they love him. Sol played an instrumental role in Jose’s transition into and out of the hospital. I can’t say enough about Janiva, she was AMAZING!!!! As a mother, it was very difficult not to be at my son’s bedside. she took on the role with pride and treated Jose as if he were her own. She is young but, wise. She also went beyond her call of duty as she was the one who picked Jose up from his host home, stayed with him at the hospital every day until the late hours of the night, spoke with doctors and administrators, kept in contact with us and your organization and did it all with her own 8 month old child at home. Writing this email brings tears of happiness to my eyes because…I am a mother. Thank you Janiva, this meant the world to me. Jose is not out of the woods but, I am guessing he is about 85% better. I have no doubt that the Costa Rica team and Sol will work hard to bring Jose back healthy, happy and in good academic standing. : ) Thank you also for your entire SOL team in an out of the states. Please feel free to contact me. This experience as you may imagine was a bit scary however, let me say that your employees made our lives much easier." View Less

Also, my daughter had signed up for the earlier session and had a medical emergency so she had to move back to the next session. The staff that she dealt with at that time was AMAZING! As her mom I very much appreciated that because she was so looking forward to this trip, knowing that she could heal with no worries made the process so much easier!" View Less
